Denis Jamain owns a generous chunk of the central Loire appellation of Reuilly ('RUH-ee'): Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir planted on gentle slopes of limestone and clay, which he works along environmentally respectful lines. 'Les Pierres Plates' is a single vineyard of old, low-yielding Sauvignon, whose superior fruit is reserved for this prized cuvée. Floral aromas; fresh, appley flavours and appetising grip; a white for river fish and seafood.
